The ARPA team aims to monitor the students of the Albergaria-a-Velha School Group, specifically, those who show:

greater learning difficulties,
-
risk of dropping out of school,
-
behaviour which is risky or seriously breaches the student's duties or
-
are on the verge of exceeding the absence limits set out in the Student Statute and School Ethics.
Among the various competencies of this team the following may be mentioned:

Analysis of the cases that are referred to it;

Intervention, defining and adopting a set of strategies and methodologies to be implemented for each case;

Involvement with the educational community, families and local agents in actions to overcome the problems identified;
-
Social mediation, seeking, when necessary, other relevant stakeholders for the implementation of measures appropriate to each case.
The ARPA team may be referred to the situations of students who seek answers within the scope of its objectives/competencies.
Referrals may be made by completing the Referral Form by the:

educator (pre-school education),
-
head teacher (1st cycle) or class director (2nd, 3rd cycle, secondary and vocational education),
-
teacher or class council or
-
any element of the ARPA team.
